What's wrong with my new progressive glasses?

I got my new progressive glasses two days ago, I ordered the glasses online, I feel OK when wearing them, but I found that once I took them off, my vision became totally blurry... is that normal?

I called my eye doctor, he told me that it usually took me 2-3 weeks to adjust my new progressive glasses, is that ture?
